How It Works

Fleet electrification offers substantial savings that scale with fleet size. Fuel cost savings are the biggest driver: commercial fleets often drive 20,000+ miles per vehicle per year, and electricity costs about one-third as much as gasoline per mile. Maintenance savings add another $0.04/mile because EVs have no oil changes, fewer brake replacements (thanks to regenerative braking), no transmission service, and far fewer moving parts overall. Level 2 chargers cost $1,500-3,500 installed per unit, but many utilities offer commercial EV charging incentives that reduce this. The federal 30C tax credit covers 30% of charging infrastructure costs (up to $100,000 per location). Most fleets see charger infrastructure ROI within 6-18 months. Overnight depot charging is ideal for fleets with predictable daily routes.
